Calm Down!

Today is a big day again, from hospital bed to most people heading back to work, I head back into the chemo ward for more tests and more strategy for treatment plans and this time I have never been more nervous. Worries and fears arise which leave me feeling anxious and unsettled. Sleep up and down and that unsettled sick feeling before a big game day!

Usually I am positive and ‘bull at a gate’ for everything, but it has been just so long being so sick I just want something to be a bit easier on the body and really works. I am crossing my fingers that all the hard core red devil chemo etc, etc has done what is has meant to do, killed off all the rogue cells and we can focus on getting some strength back into me. Whilst I am on this more tolerable treatment and having some quality of life back I am hoping to focus towards getting the family to Disneyland! Yes, I keep saying it because I believe if you do it might just come true!

Mum’s usual answer to calm me down in these situations and have a laugh is “Why don’t you have a bath or shower, they fix everything!” hahaha…..Seems this Calm Set, cards for serenity, agrees.   The set contains a Calm book and calm prompt cards available at www.theschooloflife.com.

The ability to remain calm is important, a loss of calm creates a descent into anxiety and agitation.

Calm Book: A book that patiently unpacks the causes of our greatest stresses and gives us a succession of highly persuasive, beautiful and sometimes dryly comic arguments with which to defend ourselves against panic and fury.

Calm Prompt Cards: A set of prompt cards made up of eloquent and beautiful reminders of just how we should approach our frustrations.

…..I’m off to take a long shower!!
