When my parents reminisce about their first home renovations it is all about orange and bright pink wallpaper, orange curtains, orange spherical ball hanging light and shag pile carpet.  It’s hard to believe they decorated and lived in a home like a set from Austin Powers.

An exhibition titled A Modernist Season is coming to Sydney Living Museums put on to celebrate all things modernism, including the life of interior designer Marion Hall (1905-1988). Known for her colourful and unique take on design, Marion Hall Best was one of the 50s and 60s most influential Australian interior designers.
Marion Hall Best: Interiors at the Museum of Sydney runs from 5 August –  29 November 2017
