13 Jul Aspirin, Not Just Medical
Being flu season there are many snuffly noses going around and with that high demand for tissues, some ending up in the wash. Last week I left a tissue in the pocket of my trackies and it was bloody everywhere!!! Needless to say Betty was not impressed.
Better Homes & Gardens came up with this tip on how to remove a washed tissues from your clothes. I wish I had known about it them.
Putting on a load of washing with a rogue tissue in the pocket is a common laundry mistake but the solution is surprisingly simple. When faced with the impossible task of removing the tiny white flakes attached to your clothing, aspirin is all you need.
You have two options, depending on how bad the situation is.
- You can either do another wash cycle, adding four aspirin to the drum before placing in the dryer.
- Alternatively, soak the items in a bucket or bath of hot water with the aspirin and hang them on the line to dry.
Has anyone actually used it and know it works? Good luck!
