Natural History Bar and Grill

You have to check this place out…the new Natural History Bar and Grill in the heart of Melbourne. It is a late night Steak House slash American Diner slash Caviar and Oyster Bar all in one and we are loving this concept. The fit out makes you feel like you have stepped in to a sophisticated Manhattan establishment with a hint of playfulness however each section has its different attributes to suit its offering ie. the diner features red vinyl stools at a glass top porchetta bar which displays a collection of matchboxes from longstanding or deceased businesses.

The menu is diverse. “It’s an homage to the good old steak houses of New York, with a modern Australian slant,” McGlone says. Steak lovers will salivate at the options of steak on the menu including a one-kilo club or 500-gram rib eye and eye-fillet.  We love the fact that you can have a really nice cheeseburger and fries there too! Customers are very well taken care of…if you order a steak you are presented with a box of 6 knives with varying handles to choose which knife you want to eat with. Great attention to detail if you ask us!

If you are looking for the perfect atmosphere to relax, eat good food and have a few drinks with friends, make sure you look this place up!
