Do you love a trip to the country and love food? Located just over one hour from Melbourne the tiny gourmet town of Jindivick hosts The Village Feast, 16 March, as part of the Food and Wine Festival. You can reach this ultimate foodie’s day trip quickly and easily by car or public transport. Free shuttle bus to and from event with several local pick-up points.
A day pass gets you entry to The Village Feast where locals team up with some of Australia’s biggest names in food will bring the town’s main street to life. Multiple pop-up stalls will line the streets offering exceptional food, drink and produce for purchase.
A town fair will keep the kids entertained and stalls will offer retro treats like snow-cones, homemade cakes and fairy floss. Heaps of entertainment with barn dancing competitions, meat raffles, CWA cake competitions and live music.
Children 12 and under attend free but require a ticket to gain entry. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
