Melbourne Planetarium at Scienceworks is to reopen with an exciting $1.2 million technical revamp to the visual system. Its awe-inspiring new show Moonbase ONE, stars Australian media personality and self-identified geek culture enthusiast Stephanie “Hex” Bendixsen. There is a state-of-the-art visual system with three times higher resolution than before! The upgraded system gives you an even better, immersive and awe-inspiring astronomical experience.

Accompany them on this amazing Moonbase ONE adventure as it ventures into space striving to understand our magnificent neighbour the Moon. Taking place across the night of a full moon, you will  join a Virtual Reality games developer as she struggles to work out what is wrong with her new game. The game it is all based on real science and set on the moon.

Moonbase ONE is recommended for ages 8 and up. The mysteries of the universe aren’t just for kids to contemplate with the return of Scienceworks’ successful adults-only Friday nights.
