Head to Attica in Ripponlea this Saturday, March 30, for an all-star classic bake sale. New Zealander and Attica chef and owner Ben Shewry and Victoria’s best chefs will be baking for the Christchurch victims. Their message is simple. “Don’t hate — appreciate.”
Fellow Kiwi chefs Dave Verheul (Embla), Phil Wood (Pt Leo Estate) and Morgan McGlone (Belles Hot Chicken), along with Andrew McConnell, Neil Perry, Kate and Cam Reid from Lune Croissanterie and Jo Barrett and Matt Stone of Oakridge are among many others donating their time and all baked goods. 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sales goes straight to the Givealittle fund set up by Victim Support in New Zealand.
Who can resist the chance to get your hands on Attica‘s Vegemite scrolls, Belles Hot Chicken breakfast sandwiches, Cumulus cheesecake, Garage Project beer, Market Lane coffee or artwork in badge or T-shirt from from street artist Heesco. They’re kicking off at 9am and pastries will be sold by the piece until noon or until sold out. Be early to score yourself one of Attica’s famed Vegemite scroll never previously sold outside of the restaurant.
Sales are cash only. Raid the piggy bank because you won’t be able to stop at one! To donate direct: givealittle.co.nz
