We are loving this simple concept….a window in Langridge Street Collingwood that is devoted to one of our favourite comfort foods – Gnocchi! It doesn’t stand out which makes this little Good Gnocchi gem of a take away shop hard to find. There’s no sign, just some blacked-out glass with tiny A5 menus taped to it and a solitary open window. 22 year old James Eddy took advantage of a sad situation when his fathers store Eddy’s Cafe closed down. Now he is finding success selling delicious Gnocchi in foil takeaway containers with a side of garlic bread. There’s a vegan pesto with basil, walnuts, lemon, olive oil and garlic; butter and crispy sage; a simple four-hour-cooked tomato sauce; and a classic Aussie bolognaise. Yum!
Next time you are near Collingwood and feel like some awesome Gnocchi, be sure to go on the hunt for this cute little takeaway food window! You won’t be disappointed!
