From 28 to 30 June the Docklands, Melbourne will be taken over by fire to celebrate the Firelight Festival for the Winter solstice. The festival’s flame jets, fire drums and nightly fireworks are sure to keep you warm on these cold Winter nights.
Indulge in some delicious, smoky, warm fare from some of your favourites, including Limp Briskit, The Soup Factory and Frencheese. Or maybe you would prefer some hearty comfort food from one of Firelight Festival’s many food trucks and market stalls.
Live bands and entertainers from all corners of the globe will be there to entertain you. Three live stages, fire performers and roving music performers, Bollywood dancers to a Mariachi band, and almost everything in between will be there.
The highlight will be the new magnificent five-minute water-jet and laser shows every hour from the “white pylons” in Victoria Harbour adjacent to Harbour Esplanade. Then gaze skyward nightly and enjoy the spectacular five-minute firework display held each night – probably between 8.30pm and 8.45pm.
This is a free event, Friday to Sunday 5pm – 10pm. Temporary road closures that will be in place for Firelight Festival so you should check for information HERE.
