Hungry? Bia Hoi, Jerry Mai’s Vietnamese beer hall is now open at The Glen’s new outdoor dining precinct in Glen Waverley. Bia Hoi, which means  “beer hall” and “draft beer” in Vietnamese.

Jerry Mai, the mohawked Vietnamese Australian chef and owner of Annam and Pho Nom restaurants, has opened the beer hall. Jerry’s Mai’s Bia Hoi has a lively atmosphere and a menu reflecting traditional Bia Hoi dishes – casual, simple and best eaten with a few drinks and good mates.

Snacks include crispy pork skin, salted peanuts and dried squid, rice-paper rolls, skewers, and larger share plates. You can also grill your own meats at the table, or share a Vietnamese hot pot.

The beer list includes Vietnamese favourites such as 333, Bia Hanoi and Saigon Special and local breweries, Dandenong’s Kaiju and Frankston’s Mr Banks. There will also be a short list of wines and cocktails.

Come and experience the vibrant Vietnamese beer hall for yourself, open till late.

The Glen, 235 Springvale Rd Glen Waverley 3150. Monday – Sunday 11am – late
