SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium is searching for curious kids with a keen interest in marine life to apply for the unique role of Junior Jellyfish Reporter!
The winners will venture behind the scenes at the aquarium where they will get an exclusive insight into the opening of the brand new Ocean Invaders exhibit. They’ll also receive four platinum Merlin Annual Passes valued at $396, a SEA LIFE Melbourne prize pack valued at $100 and a special certificate!
With Ocean Invaders opening in December 2019, SEA LIFE Melbourne is on the lookout for correspondents aged 12 and under to report on this incredible project from a youngster’s perspective.
The Junior Jellyfish Reporters will have VIP access to the aquarium where they will meet jellyfish experts to learn about the creation of the exhibit, what jellyfish eat, where they came from, facts about the different species and much more. They will learn awesome interview skills and be able to share their findings on SEA LIFE Melbourne’s website and social media pages!
To be one of the Junior Jellyfish Reporters, children 12 and under must create a short video explaining why they want this role as well as a fun fact about the gelatinous sea creature! Applications will be open until midnight on Friday 25 October and the winners will be announced to the public on World Jellyfish Day on Sunday 3 November*.
Launching on Thursday 12 December, Ocean Invaders will be an extraordinary 300 sqm exhibit at SEA LIFE Melbourne filled with unique jellyfish displays and spectacular lighting installations over three interactive zones. There will be various species pulsing throughout the zones including blue blubber jellyfish, lion’s mane jellyfish, Australian spotted jellyfish and sea nettles!
