Australia’s largest Harry Potter store is to open Friday, 18 October in Myer Melbourne. Located on the basement level of their Bourke Street store, the 500-square-metre store will be home to recreations of famous locations from the books, such as Platform 9 ¾. As the store is a collaboration between Myer and Warner Bros, it’ll also be home to official merchandise, mythical toys, stationery, costumes, homewares, apparel and more.
Myer chief customer officer Geoff Ikin said the concept store will allow Australians to enjoy Harry Potter-themed products and photo opportunities without travelling internationally. Bring your smartphone for photo opportunities such as Platform 9 ¾ selfies, The Wizarding World, and Lego.
People hoping to catch the Australian production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is currently running at the Princess Theatre, will also be able to buy tickets at a dedicated ticket booth.
Opening from midday on Friday, October 18, the shop will be open until December 2020, a perfect place to do some Christmas shopping.
