Garden lovers, don’t miss The 2019 International Rose Garden Festival in Morwell this the weekend, 16-17 November, showcasing over 4000 roses in bloom. This year’s Garden Festival has expanded across two days and includes a light show program on the Saturday night and a Food and Wine Fiesta on the Sunday.
Saturday’s garden festival features garden stalls, workshops, free children’s activities, food trucks and live music. Visitors to the festival can expect a star-studded line-up with gardening talks from Australia’s favourite celebrity gardener and ABC’s Gardening Australia host, Costa Georgiadis and children’s favourite, Dirtgirl performing the Grubby Bucket Show live.
Dirtgirl will be on the main stage 11:00 am – 11:30 am for a singalong on sustainability and bees with a meet and get a photo with Dirtgirl after the performance. Children are encouraged to come dressed up as bees or insects.
The Saturday evening program comes to life 6:30pm- 10pm with a Midsummer Night Lights installation, interactive activities and cinema among the roses.
Day 2 will showcase the amazing food and wine producers from the Gippsland region with tastings, demonstrations, live music and picnics in the park.
Some workshops require a booking fee however, entry to the festival remains free and accessible for all ages.
