The kids will love exploring online Ballarat with the Ballarat Virtual Winter Fest. Play games with the city’s new winter characters The Yarrowees, Bunni, Kurran, Welcome Wally and Betul Begonia, emerging in Winter to secretly care for the people of Ballarat and each having a special kind of ‘magic’.

Test your Ballarat knowledge with three levels of trivia, challenge yourself with crossword puzzles, enjoy a series of Ballarat inspired word searches or download the the Yarrowee gang colouring pages. There’s lots of fun things to keep the kids occupied.

Keep yourself entertained with a series of videos while staying rugged up at home. Get an up close and behind the scenes look at the Ballarat Wildlife Park, get the whole family active with the City of Ballarat’s Balance Play or have rip-roaring time with episodes of Be TV, part of Be Kind Be Creative, a citywide response to isolation and lockdown. There’s Parent place videos including a super easy playdough recipe that doesn’t require cooking and how to make beautiful butterflies. Learn more about the story behind the iconic Eureka flag or join Meghan as she travels to Canada! Listen to a Cree Folk tale, The Granddaughter Who Was Eaten by a Big Fish, a story about the importance of listening.

So much to do, click here to explore Ballarat Virtual Winter Fest but it finishes soon, 19th July, 2020.
